The decoration in the cottage was delightful, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The common areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for us seniors.
Better coordination from the children working there would have made our vacation even better.

This place is absolutely amazing! The cottage is like a dream come true - it's so well equipped and clean, with the most stunning decor. And guess what? It's in a small village, but not isolated at all! There are takeaways and pubs within walking distance, and the walks around the area are just breathtaking. Plus, you can easily explore the Dales National Park nearby. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, always making sure you have everything you need. And even though the TV remote disappeared, they made sure we could still enjoy Netflix. The cottage has all the comforts you could ask for, including a fantastic shower and a fully stocked kitchen. It's also great that Cowling is accessible by bus if you don't have a car. this place exceeded all our expectations and we can't wait to come back!

The bathroom with a shower and free toiletries was a breath of fresh air! It felt clean and ready for a refreshing wash. As someone who loves feeling close to nature, this bathroom met all my needs!
Honestly, the only thing I didn't particularly fancy was the single bathroom. But hey, that's just my personal preference, others may still find it perfectly adequate.

We got great value for our money at Squirrel Cottage. The room was clean, well-equipped, and had a nice shower. The location was perfect, with beautiful walks right from the property and the Dales National Park a short drive away. The hosts were friendly and helpful, even when we couldn't find the TV remote. They made us feel welcome and ensured we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The breakfast could have been improved with a nice touch like a cafetiere. We brought our own, so it wasn't a big deal.

Garden: The garden at this charming holiday home was a little slice of paradise. It was like stepping into a magical forest, with colorful flowers and a tranquil atmosphere. I spent hours strolling through the garden, feeling like a woodland explorer on a grand adventure.
Microwave cookware: It would have been helpful to have some microwave cookware with lids. Though cling film was provided, having cookware with lids would have made reheating leftovers or cooking quick meals much more convenient.

My recent stay at Squirrel Cottage was fantastic! The cottage was warm, comfortable, and had excellent heating and hot water. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the tea, coffee, and sugar provided, as well as the fresh milk on arrival. The electric log burner added a cozy atmosphere, and the kitchen was well-equipped with all the utensils and cleaning products I needed. The shower was excellent and the cottage was clean and newly decorated. The location in the small village of Cowling was great, with Skipton, Ilkley, and Bolton Abbey all within a short drive. The local pub, The Bay Horse, was a pleasant 15-minute walk away, and I enjoyed their good, cheap pub food. I also tried the food at The Dog & Gun, a 10-minute drive away, and it was excellent. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely return!
Drawbacks: Although my stay was amazing, I did notice a few minor drawbacks. A cafetiere would have been a nice touch, but since I brought my own, it didn't matter.
